A good bag print is easy to recognise at the size people actually see. Before adding more artwork, decide what matters most: a logo, an event name, a short message or a design that covers a larger area.
The fabric and the printing method affect the result. Jute has a visible weave, while cotton surfaces vary with their construction and finish. Artwork should be reviewed for the bag being made rather than assumed to work unchanged on every material.
Give important details room to be seen
Fine lines, small lettering and tightly packed detail can be difficult to reproduce clearly on a textured surface. A larger logo, simpler shapes and suitable contrast may communicate more effectively. Avoid committing to a universal minimum text size before the artwork and fabric have been assessed.
If a long message is essential, consider which information belongs on the bag and which can sit on a separate insert. The aim is a readable print that suits the product and your purpose.
Specify the complete printing requirement
Tell us how many sides will be printed, whether both sides use the same design, the colours in each design and the intended print area. Also identify the bag colour and any features close to the artwork, such as a pocket, zip or seam.
Screen printing is used in our customised bag work. The suitable method and its scope are confirmed for the particular requirement. Do not assume that gradients, photographs or very small detail can be reproduced by the same method as a simple one-colour logo.
Send usable artwork
Provide a vector PDF or editable artwork such as a CDR file where available. Send the final text and approved logo version, together with colour references when colour matching matters. A screenshot can explain an idea, but it may not contain the detail needed for production.
Identify the print dimensions and position. Confirm that you are entitled to use the artwork supplied for the order. If you need help preparing the file, ask what assistance is available for the requirement.
Approve with the physical product in mind
A digital mock-up demonstrates placement and the general appearance. Screens, fabric texture, inks and production methods can create differences between the visual and the finished item. Agree a suitable approval reference where colour or placement is critical.
Sample arrangements are assessed individually. The sample may be chargeable or complimentary at our discretion, and freight may be separate. Confirm those details before requesting dispatch.
Changing the artwork, number of colours, print area or design on either side can affect price and timing. Send the complete requirement with your initial enquiry so the quotation reflects what you actually want produced.
